New ‘DWTS’ Cast Announced — Is It Fair?

Dancing With The Stars is shaking things up this year! With the early elimination on Brooke Burke Charvet and the live band, viewers are left wondering what to expect from this season.

So, now for my little rant...

I think this is a very strong cast. They have notable and likable "stars". However, I think it is a bit weighted this year...and by little, I mean, you've got to be kidding me!!!

You might know by now that I LOVE the Olympics and everything to do with them. Charlie White and Meryl Davis captured the first gold in ice dancing for the United States just a couple weeks ago. It was a couple of amazing performances with an amazing story.

However, how can you have two contestants whose career literally has the word "dancing" in it?! One of their Olympic routines was choreographed (that's right, that's a dance term) by DWTS pro Derek Hough! How is this fair at all?

You have people that have to waltz, tango and do any other traditional dance on ice! How is Drew Carey supposed to compete with this? DJ Tanner was too busy taking beer away from her dates to do any dancing at her school dances! NeNe Leakes...is NeNe Leakes. So now we have actors, hockey players, swimmers, socialites and DANCERS competing to win a dancing show. Who do you think has the leg up?

I'll probably still watch...with a chip on my shoulder.
