New York State Seizes Buffalo Restaurant

The food scene in Western New York is amazing, as Buffalonians know all too well.

From pizza and wings to burgers and pasta, Western New York is a fantastic place to enjoy local cuisine.

If you have lived in Western New York long enough, you know that Buffalo-style pizza is very much a thing and we adore it. It's a slightly thicker crust with extra cheese, sweeter tomato sauce and cup-and-char pepperoni.

There are New York style pizza places in Western New York, however, which is a thinner crust with a less sweet tomato sauce. There are way more Buffalo-style pizza places in Western New York than New York style, but one of the most popular New York style pizza spots in Amherst has been a haven in recent years.

Zetti's Pizza & Pasta on Maple Road in Amherst has been around for over a decade. However, they were temporarily closed this February, after a notice from New York state that said the property was seized because of "nonpayment of taxes."

It appears to have happened again.

Buffalo Eats posted about the closure in February and someone shared a photo of it happening once again on Thursday.

It's unclear what happened and how long Zetti's will remain closed. The fact this sign was posted twice in the span of seven months doesn't bode well.

Zetti's has a lot of customers in the north towns and hopefully this can get resolved eventually.
