It's still the leading cause of accidents and deaths for young people driving cars and they're cracking down again.

Per our friends at WIVB, New York State troopers will be looking for distracted drivers this month. They remind us that they are always looking, but this month are focusing on it to try and break the growing-habit.

The use of any hand-held cellular phone while driving is prohibited on any New York road. Anyone who violates this law will be issued a traffic violation which will carry a fine of up to $150. Additionally, there will be 2 points assessed to the offender's driver's license and driving record.
