Western New York Winter Weather Advisory Upgraded To Warning
Winter Storm Landon will make an impact on Western New York this week and it could bring plenty of snow.

The National Weather Service has upgraded the Winter Weather Advisory issued earlier this week to a Winter Warning.

During the Winter Warning Western New York could see anywhere between 8 inches until 12 inches of snow during the warning period.
The Winter Weather Warning is in place for all of Western New York including Niagara, Erie, Chautauqua, and Cattaraugus counties. During the Winter Weather Warning, travel conditions in these areas could be dangerous. It is advised that if you can stay off the roads, you should.
With another blast of snow, Buffalo will add to its lead in the race for the snowiest city in America with a population of over 100,000 people.
Buffalo is currently in the lead with just over 60 inches of snow. Rochester is in second place with around 44 inches. Syracuse is in 6th place overall.
Grand Rapids, MI, Anchorage, AK, and Fargo, ND, round out the Top 5 of the snowiest cities so far this Winter.

After possible snow this week, we will see some sunshine this weekend but very cooler temperatures. The highs will be around 20 degrees this weekend.
