This is not an April Fools' Day Prank.  The NFL voted to broadcast a game on the children's network, Nickelodeon this upcoming season.

While it seems strange, there is a reason for this change.

Yes, games will still be seen on NBC, CBS, Fox, and ESPN.  However, along with the announcement that club owners had voted on a new extended playoff format for their season, they also decided to show a game on Nickelodeon.

The playoff game will be shown not only on CBS but also Nickelodeon with a special broadcast that will be tailored to a younger audience.

The idea is to expand their audience to a younger generation.

There was little information about who would be announcing the game or if it would change the way the game was played.
