There are some who love the fact that it is unseasonably warm this fall in New York State. However, how long will that last and when will we get back to reality?

This past Halloween and Election Day, we saw record high temperatures for much of the Empire State. In fact, it was the warmest Halloween on record for Buffalo, New York. A city that is familiar with October snow!

But what does the rest of November hold for New York State?

As we close in on Veterans Day here in New York State, there are warm temperatures that are above the average and above freezing for the foreseeable future.

Although there is a brief dip in temps this week, next week, for Veterans Day is warms up again!

For Rochester, the temperatures will be well in to the 50's beyond the midway point of the Month!

Unless things change dramatically, it looks as though we could go through the month without a significant stretch of snowfall!

As for lake effect snow, the Great Lakes (Erie and Ontario) are also pretty warm and that could mean a big round of snowfall if and when the cold air does arrive in portions of New York State.
