Massive Lodge Brewery Being Built in Western New York
It's certainly no secret that Buffalo loves its craft breweries.
If you go to most cities, you'll be able to find plenty of great breweries, but here in Buffalo, there are a massive number of them.
The City of Buffalo alone has a dozzen breweries, with even more throughout the suburbs: Resurgence, Southern Tier, Fattey Beer Co., Big Ditch, Thin Man, Community Brew Works, Britesmith, Hamburg Brewing, Spotted Octopus, etc.
If you have been to Lockport, then you have probably been to (or at least driven) New York Beer Project.
The massive brewery and restaurant has been in south Lockport for a while now and it's always packed. They have several other locations but for years, customers have been clamoring for a location in the City of Buffalo or south towns. That day is nearing, as NYBP will soon open its Orchard Park location.
The new location for New York Beer Project will be right off the I-219, in the Sterling Business Park. We haven't seen renderings until this week and the place looks massive. In fact, the lodge-style brewery will be the largest New York Beer Project to date.
The New York Beer Project Lodge or NYBP OP (as some call it) will be opened at some point in 2024. If you have driven down the 219 in recent weeks, then you have seen huge progress being made on the building.
The lodge part of the structure is starting to take shape too, as I drove by it this past Tuesday. It looks gigantic from the expressway, so can't imagine what it'll be like once inside.
