Once again Buffalo Bills Get No Respect From National Media
First, it was the lack of respect from the rating gurus with Madden 22 and now once again the Buffalo Bills are not getting the respect they deserve from the national media.
Currently, the NFL Network is counting down the Top 100 players in the league on their Twitter page, and where one Buffalo Bills landed will leave you shaking your head.
The NFL Network based on the opinions of players in the league put Bills cornerback Tre White in at #95 on the list, just one spot ahead of teammate Cole Beasley.
We all agree that White is a top player in the league and he deserves to be on the list, but if you ask me he needs to be way higher on this list. Like in the 20s or 30s.
In 2020, White was ranked the 47th best player in the league and after an amazing season that saw the Bills win the AFC East and make it to the AFC Championship game, how can White drop almost out of the Top 100.
According to pro-football reference, here were White's stats from the 2020 season.
He played in 14 games, grabbed 3 interceptions, recovered 2 fumbles, and made 57 combines tackles with 1.5 sacks. While those stats were slightly down from the 2019 season, White was routinely lined up against the other team's best wide receiver and usually shut them down. Many QBs would not even throw White's way last season.
For his career, the former 1st round draft pick has played in 61 games, made 15 interceptions, while forcing four fumbles while recovering 4 as well. He has made a total of 238 combined career tackles and has 2.5 career sacks.
White has been a leader on the defense for the Bills since he was head coach Sean McDermott's first NFL draft pick as a head coach in 2017.
White has also been named to two Pro Bowls and has been named an All-Pro once in his career.
This ranking is just another reason for the Bills to play with a chip on their shoulder and win the Super Bowl this year.
