It's happening on Saturday, June 16th from 10 am to 3 pm at KeyBank Center.

Event coordinator Tina Chaudhry, the co-creator of WNY's Furtastic Adopt-A-Thon said that "in the true spirit of One Buffalo, it brings together our local animal shelters, rescues and WNY's pet loving community to help find homes for as many pets as possible."  And the Bills and Sabres are making that happen.

They point out that shelters are becoming overcrowded and are desperate to find homes for these pets.  Each adoption will actually save two lives, the adopted pet and the one that takes its place at the shelter.

Among the animal shelters and rescue groups participating include:

  • WNY's Furtastic
  • City of Buffalo Animal Shelter
  • Open Arms Rescue of WNY
  • Joyful Rescue
  • Buddy's Second Chance

Any rescue organizations or pet vendors interested in being a part of the One Buffalo Pet Adoption can contact Tina Chaudhry at pets@onebuffalo.com.

If you're interested in adopting a pet visit onebuffalo.com/petadoption for instructions and complete the applications for all agencies.  You must bring a photo ID, permission letter from the landlord if you live in a rented home or apartment and be able to pay the adoption fee at the event
