A couple of months after the attacks on The World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, Osama Bin Laden wrote up a will to pass on to his children.  The message that he leaves behind for them is actually kind of shocking.

December 14, 2001 Osama Bin Laden drafted a will.  In the will, he apologizes to his children for not spending more time with them.

"You, my children, I apologize for giving you so little of my time because I responded to the need for Jihad,"

Everyone knew that Bin Laden's focus was to bring America to an end which is what makes some of his final words shocking.  He goes on in the 4 page letter to tell his children not to follow in his footsteps.  He even went so far as to say not to join al-Queda.

Although he had what people believed to be a family fortune of tens of millions of dollars, he made no mention of passing on any assets to friends or family members.
