Our Hometown Hero Is Senior Airman Matthew Voelker!

It’s time once again for our Hometown Hero, brought to you by Keller Chevrolet and Batavia Downs gaming.  This Week’s Hometown Hero is originally from Barker, NY.  It’s 23 year old Senior Airman Matthew Voelker.

Matthew graduated in 2010 from Barker Central High School.  Matthew is a guy who has wanted to follow in his dad’s footsteps.  At just 11 years old, Matt’s dad passed away. But there’s no hiding how proud he was of his dad.  While his dad served in the United States Army, Matt decided to serve his country by joining the Air Force right after high school.  Matt is his dad’s only child.  Although he is 1800 miles away from his mom, she is very proud of him and misses him very much.

We are proud of him too and are happy to shine a light on his bravery.  We are honored to name Matt our Hometown Hero of the week!
