4 Moms Arrested After KIDS Commit Crime in New York State Town
Four parents were arrested because of something that their KIDS were doing in New York State. In the Village of Bath, close to Watkins Glen State Park, the viral story is all because of what the parents DID NOT do and why they were arrested.
What happened?
Four kids were involved in a robbery during the day and the police picked them up, brought them home and told the parents to keep an eye on their children. Later that day, hours later at night time, the same kids were involved in a fight and again picked up by the police and dropped off at home.
But, this time, because the police told the parents to keep an eye on their kids and they did not, all 4 moms were arrested.
They were arrested for Engendering the Welfare of a Child -- Failure to Exercise Control of a Minor. Of course, the arrest is now being completely polarizing.
A lot of parents say that it is excessive and that they should do something with the kids and not with the parents.
On the other hand, people are praising the police's decision to do arrest the moms. In fact, in New York State maybe they need to stop letting the youth off the hook so often, especially for major crimes like stealing cars. Right now, in New York State, underage kids who are stealing cars are let off essentially with a appearance ticket. Maybe that would change if the parents were arrested like they were in this situation in Bath, New York.
