Parker McCollum Tells WYRK In Buffalo, New York He’d “NEVER Do This”

Millions will be watching the game, the commercials and, the exciting performers. For fans of country music, Reba McIntyre's performance of the National Anthem is the moment they are looking forward to the most.
The National Anthem is not only one of the most beautifully written songs of all time, it is also the song that just about every American knows the words to. There is a ton of pressure to get it right and some artists steer clear of it.
Reba McIntyre will perform the anthem approximately 10 minutes prior to kickoff for the Super Bowl this weekend.
We spoke with Parker McCollum about the anthem and whether or not he would say yes to the invitation to sing it!
"I have never sang the National Anthem and I will never sing the National Anthem. Other than Chris Stapleton and Whitney Houston, I don't remember a single time when somebody ever sang the National Anthem. But I know every time someone has completely bombed, live". Parker went on to say, "I just don't think there is enough to gain to justify what you can potentially lose by singing that song in front of thousands of people".
