Party In The Plaza For A Great Cause Saturday In Buffalo

The Buffalo Bandits are in familiar territory again.  They're back in the playoffs this year and they're throwing a party for a cause to get it all started.

If you haven't been following the Buffalo Bandits, you're missing out on another huge year. They're back in the NLL Finals and the first game is on Saturday. Game 1 is against Colorado at 7:30 pm in a best of three series that starts at Key Bank Center. They're inviting all of Banditland for a huge party to get it kicked off too!

It's a "Party in the Plaza" and they're hoping to gather some donations for FeedMore WNY at the same time. If you're one of the first 1000 fans to bring a donation to help stock the shelves, you'll get a special commemorative NLL Finals poster.

It's a cool chance to help out a great cause, get pumped for the game, and maybe even meet some Bandits alumni.  They've invited a bunch of former players back.  You could see Cory Bomberry, Billy Dee Smith, Joe Smith, Kyle Schmelzle, Phil Sanderson, Ian Llord, Rusty Kruger, Rich Kilgour, Darris Kilgour, Kyle Laverty, Jay Thorimbert, and Chris White. While they're all scheduled to make an appearance, the lineup is subject to change.

The party starts at 5:30 pm in alumni plaza.

While all non-perishable food donations will help, specific needs include:

• Cereal
• Baby food, formula, and diapers
• Canned tuna and chicken
• Canned fruits and vegetables
• Boxed mac and cheese, pasta, and rice
• Canned soup and chili
