Another Local Restaurant In Western New York Is Closing
A local pizzeria in Western New York announced they are closing, and the community is devastated.
This restaurant has been dedicated to our local community for years, with a caring and committed staff that helps create the highest quality of pizza, subs, and wings. It has been around for a few decades in Depew, and now we have to say goodbye.

After closing for business on June 4th, Nonna’s Pizzeria on Broadway in Depew has been covered in “FOR SALE” signs via Buffalo Business Brokers & Realty.
Many people who adored the Depew restaurant shared their favorite memories on Facebook this week in reflection.
One Depew resident, Tyler Miesowicz, remembered the place fondly.
“They were nice owners,” Miesowicz wrote on Facebook. “[And] my first job back in like 2008!”
Brianca Parkin spoke highly of the owner. “Every time we have gone there, the owner has been the nicest guy,” she wrote on Facebook. “So sorry to hear- wishing them the very best.”
But Dianne Piusienski, who now lives in Lancaster, shared the most heartwarming story.
“Years ago my car broke down in front of Nonna's. I had my dog because we were going to the vet,” Piusienski wrote. “The owner was so nice [and] asked me if I needed to use the phone.”
Unfortunately, I fear that Nonna’s Pizzeria is not going to be the last local shop to close. Since the pandemic, it seems like every local business has been struggling to keep the doors open.
If there’s a local business or restaurant you love or have been meaning to try, this is your reminder to go eat local! Otherwise your favorite place may be next.
Thank you, Nonna’s, for serving us the very best.
