YOU can play football on the New Era Field, right where our beloved Buffalo Bills play their home games.

Specifically, here:

Let's break that down a bit. You can touch the same artificial turf they touch. You can look out at the 73,079 seats with the same view the players have. You just can't tackle your opponents like they do — because this opportunity is offered through a flag football tournament that will benefit the Special Olympics on Saturday, April 7.

In its second year, the Snow Bowl is a 6-on-6 flag football tournament with four divisions: Pro League, Amateur League, Co-Ed League and High School League. Each team can have up to 12 members and must raise at least $1,000 together.

Any member of the public can play, not just those involved with Special Olympics. (Everyone must be 18 years or older, except in the high school league, which is open to 16- and 17-year-olds.)

The first 48 teams to raise the $1,000 minimum will be guaranteed a spot to play at least three games.
