Police Warn Of New COVID-19 Text Scam

Police are now warning people of a new text scam that is related to COVID-19. You get a text saying that someone you were direct contact with has been confirmed positive and it tells you to click the link in the text.

Police say DO NOT click the link. It could lead to malware being installed on your phone.

Police recommend that if you are unsure of where a text or email is coming from, double heck the source to make sure it is credible before opening any link, text, or email.
