Popular Fast-Food Chain Opening It’s First New Location In WNY

It's exciting when we finally get restaurants that have been all over the country for years to finally come to Buffalo.  We've been waiting for this one for a while.

They started out as a hot dog cart in New York City in 2001.  Since then, they've grown immensely.  Now, there are over 350 locations in the United States, and over 50 of those are here in New York State.  So it's pretty crazy that we haven't had one in Western New York yet.

What is Shake Shack?

Shake Shack is what you'd call a fast-casual restaurant.  They serve gourmet burgers of all varieties, chicken sandwiches, fries, and the thing they've probably become most famous for - their milkshakes.

While many fast food places have shakes like chocolate and vanilla, Shake Shack offers flavors like Oreo Cookie Funnel Cake, Banana Pudding, Campfire Smores, and more.

Shake Shack is opening soon in Buffalo

The wait is almost over.  Shake Shack has announced their grand opening in Buffalo on Weds., May 21 at 11:00 a.m. at 1531 Niagara Falls Blvd, Ste 300, Buffalo, NY. Then, they will be open on The Boulevard from 11:00 a.m. - 10:30 p.m. daily. 

Shake Shack is giving back to Western New York on their first day

It's a good sign when a company is ready to give back to its local community on day one. According to their press release, "As part of Shake Shack’s mission to Stand for Something Good®, The Boulevard Shack will donate $1 for every sandwich sold at the Shack on May 21 to Feedmore WNY – supporting their work to provide nutritious food, friendship and skills training to Western New York neighbors in need."

The first wave of customers on that day will also receive custom Shake Shack stickers.
