Popular WNY Pizzeria Reopens After Closing For COVID-19: Plus 50 Cent Wings
One of the best places for pizza and wings in Western New York is Amherst Pizza and Ale House, located at Crosspoint Parkway in Getzville.
But after the world was turned upside down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Amherst Pizza and Ale House decided to temporarily shut down after not feeling safe for the staff and customer's sake, according to WKBW.
“It was a week after restaurants were not allowed to be open anymore," said owner Jason Bona III. "I saw the nervousness on the faces of our customers, our staff. The news was getting worse.”
They decided to take time and figure out a proper way to conduct business.
“I felt that with our set up, physically, and taking some of the best ideas from different places that we have seen and heard about, was gonna give us the peace of mind that we were going to be safe, our customers were going to be safe, and we were gonna be able to safely prepare the food for people, said Bona.”
Amherst Pizza and Ale House will be open Wednesday through Sunday, and the best part is they will have 50 cent wings on Wednesday night!
I'm always a hot-medium-mild wing guy but Amherst Pizza and Ale House has a creation called Crown Royal BBQ wings, that are ALWAYS what I order when I go here. Check those out if you haven't!
They are only accepting orders online or through their app.
