It's an annual tradition with us, and I always look forward to it. It's the Canal Fest parade in the Tonawandas. The route is about a mile long, extending from the City of Tonawanda into North Tonawanda. And that route is just packed with people almost the entire way.

Some people get there early to stake out their favorite spot. They bring along lawn chairs and a cooler.

I could ride in our radio station van, but I like walking the route to shake hands and hand out the items we give away each year. But I have to admit this was one of the hottest years ever for the parade.

In case you missed it, here's a timelapse video of the Canal Fest parade from our van driver's view.
