Buffalo Sabres Partner With Rochester Americans For 10-Day Outdoor Hockey Event [VIDEO]

The Buffalo Sabres, Rochester Americans, Rochester Red Wings and RIT announced a joint venture to have a 10-day outdoor hockey event at Frontier Field in Rochester. This will be only the second event of its kind.

The event will be a 10-day outdoor hockey event in December.  The idea originated with Sabres President Ted Black wanting to host a winter outdoor classic with the Amerks (the Sabres AHL affiliate).

The 10-day event will feature an Amerks game, a game with Sabres alum and much more. An event like this has only been done before at Fenway Park in Boston.
