Emotional Goodbye Post from Former Buffalo Sabres’ Alex Tuch
It stinks that Alex Tuch will no longer be part of the Buffalo Sabres and community going forward but he just wanted too much money for what Buffalo is willing to give him.
Tuch and his wife both addressed the City of Buffalo and the fans on social media, with Alex being the most recent one tonight with a note on Instagram
He wrote "it's hard to put into words what these last several years have meant to me and my family. From the moment I arrived you welcomed us with open arms. Through the highs and lows, your passion, loyalty, and unwavering support never changed. Wearing the Sabres jersey with something I never took for granted, and representing this city every night was an incredible honor."
Tuch will be heading to Washington where he's getting the money he asked for and that Buffalo did not give. Although he was a great player it is the best move for the Buffalo Sabres who just came off a historic run and ended a 15-year, 14 season playoff drought.
The Sabres are making big moves and trades ahead of the draft that will be in Buffalo coming up this weekend with the first round being Friday night and the second round through 7th rounds being and starting Saturday morning.
There are some big changes coming up for next year.
The National hockey League will adopt an 84 game schedule in addition to the four pre season games that they will play beginning on September 21 against Pittsburgh.
The Buffalo Sabres have made some of the best trades so far ahead of the trade deadline.
The Sabres have signed Zach Benson to a 7 year deal after a great playoff run. They also have gotten rid of Bo Byram and Jordan Greenway for great picks.
