The Buffalo Sabres will not play regular-season games for the foreseeable future as the NHL officially announced they have paused the season due to growing concerns over the coronavirus.

Here is the Sabres statement regarding the suspension of the 2019-2020 season.

The Sabres were supposed to play in Montreal tonight and play at home against the Boston Bruins on Friday night. That will not happen now, or at least not soon.

The NBA also suspended their season last night after a player tested positive for coronavirus and considering so many NHL teams share the same facilities with the NBA teams, the decision was made to put the season on hold.

It's not clear when the season will resume.
