Parents across several school districts in Western New York received a message that no parent wants to receive: a threat had been made at their child's school.

Threats Made To Schools In Western New York

Several school districts were forced to contact local and state law enforcement this morning after threats were received against the school.

According to a message sent to parents in the Depew Free Union School District, a threat was made about a possible issue at the High School campus. The school district worked with local police and the Erie County Sheriff's office to clear the school.

Nothing was found, and the police and school officials deemed the threat not credible.

Reports are that there were other threats made to the Hamburg School District as well. These threats came a day after other threats were made to school districts in Central New York. None of the threats was deemed credible after investigation by school officials and local law officials.

Officials believe that these threats were made to disrupt Regents exams and other school events.
