But, even in all of the hype and all of the good things happening at 1 Bills Drive, the Buffalo Bills and head coach Sean McDermott, recognize that none of this gets to happen without the fans.
There are tens of thousands of Buffalo Bills fans. Though, each one matters and Sean McDermott sent a typed out letter to the family and friends of a lifelong Buffalo Bills fan.
Alison Buckpitt, from Rochester, recently lost her grandma at the age of 99. She posted on Facebook a letter that the family received from Sean McDermott. Buckpitt said that her grandma had Buffalo Bills season tickets more years of her life than not and that she was a massive Buffalo Bills fan. McDermott wrote in his letter:
“Hearing stories of the fandom of Eleanor reminds me how fortunate I am to be the head coach of the Bills.”
Lets hope they win a Super Bowl for Eleanor.
The Buffalo Bills will open up their pre-season this coming Friday on August 13 in Detroit against the Lions. They will head to Chicago to play the Bears the following weekend before returning to Orchard Park to take on the Green Bay Packers in the final preseason game on August 28.
