Set Times, Purse Sizes + More for George Strait in Buffalo

It is the biggest concert of the year in Western New York. Country is king in Western New York and there will be a major show at Highmark Stadium coming up on June 14, 2025.

George Strait, Chris Stapleton and Parker McCollum are coming to Buffalo, New York and it will be George Strait's first time back in the stadium in 25 years. Tickets are going down dramatically in price.

The last time George Strait was here, there was a massive, horse incident that was national news.

If you don't know the story. Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney were opening up for George Strait's Country Music Festival at Ralph Wilson Stadium in Orchard Park in June 2000.

Kenny rode away with an Erie County Sheriff's deputy’s horse and then McGraw, who was then 33, and his manager allegedly attacked Erie County Sheriff’s Deputies who tried to stop Chesney. At least that's what the story is (depending on who you ask, it went down a different way). Chesney says that the daughter of a Sheriff said that he can get on and ride the horse. It was all fun and games and then it just turned ugly and it took almost a year to get settled.
All 3 of them; Kenny, Tim and his manager were arrested and released on bail.

Chesney was charged with disorderly conduct.
McGraw was charged with a felony for assaulting a police officer.

Almost a year later, May 23, 2001 a judge in Buffalo gave them the innocent verdict and fans lined up to get a glimpse of Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, who was there supporting her husband Tim. The trio stayed for a while and signed autographs for everyone there. George Strait headlined the show that day, but now he is bringing 2 other openers in Stapleton and Parker McCollum

According to the Highmark Stadium website: "Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand (4 ½" x 6 ½"), with or without a handle or strap, may be carried into the stadium along with one of the clear bag options."
