New York's Favorite Treat Is Returning Soon To McDonald's

The best time of the year is almost here, the return of the one McDonald's treat that everyone loves.

McDonald's has announced that the Shamrock Shakes will be back this year on February 21st.

McDonald's also has a special secret this year. “The only thing more refreshing than the delicious taste of a Shamrock Shake is its unmistakable minty-green hue,” McDonald's said in a statement. “And this year, for the first time, we’re letting our fans in on the ‘secret ingredient’ that makes this dessert so iconic... #cbf2ac, the hex code for the official Color of Shamrock SZN.”

McDonald's also said that the first person to solve the mystery would get a nice surprise from the fast-food chain.

The Shamrock Shake has been around for over 50 years and to me, it always signaled that St. Patrick's Day is close and that means the start of Spring here in New York. Warm weather and a minty shake is perfect way to spend a Spring Day.

The Shamrock Shake also has a very rich and tasty history with McDonald's since it was introduced in 1967.
