The actor most famously known as "Shooter McGavin" was in town this week to play some golf with a Buffalo legend.

His name is Christopher McDonald but most people know him as the bad guy "Shooter McGavin" from the Adam Sandler movie "Happy Gilmore."  In the movie, he was a golf pro who was a shoo-in to win a green jacket after the championship at the Masters until Happy Gilmore came along.  While he was super talented, he was also super cocky.  If you've seen the movie, it's hard to mistake the devilish smile and the cocky finger gun shot that he does.

For years now, you may have seen McDonald on the sidelines at Buffalo Bills games because he's been a guest of Buffalo legend and former quarterback Jim Kelly.  He's a lifelong Bills fan.  He grew up in New York and went to Hobart and William Smith college and even played on the team for a couple years. But today, he was seen out on the links alongside his friend at The Jim Kelly Celebrity Classic.  It's a tournament to raise awareness & money to help children in need in Western NY.

The question is...is he really good at golf?  Or was it just acting?

Of course, when channeling his inner "Shooter" he comes right out and says that "This is Shooter's tour" but adds that his short game isn't bad.

It's the 35th year for the tournament and once again it brought in former Buffalo Bills and other NFL Players, actors, and local celebrities to help out kids right here in Western New York through the Kelly For Kids Foundation.

The event was held once again as it has been for years at Terry Hills Golf Course in Batavia.
