Late January and early February is the coldest time of the year and that also means snow is more frequent. It appears more is on the way for Western New York on Friday.

WGRZ reports that snow showers will be around Western New York late Thursday night into Friday morning. A band of snow looks like it will impact Erie County during the morning commute on Friday morning. Only a couple of inches (1-3) is expected for Buffalo are nearby suburbs but the visibility could be reduced at times.

3-5 inches is expected in Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties, as well as Orleans County. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 7 p.m. Thursday to 10 a.m. on Friday in the southern tier and 6 p.m. Thursday to 7 a.m. Friday for Orleans County.

It will also be very cold. Temperatures will be in the mid-teens but with the wind chill, it will feel more like single digits or possibly 0 degrees.
