Spectrum Says It’s Doubling Internet Speeds in Buffalo
If you've been working from home over the past couple of months, you know how important fast internet speeds are. Now, Spectrum says they have some good news...
They're going to double your internet speed.
At this point, many people have a max speed of 100 Mbps but that will be moving to 200 Mbps. The faster speed is available right now, but they will start increasing speeds right away in 2021.
The faster 200 Mbps speeds are available now to new Spectrum Internet customers, and the company will automatically increase speeds for current residential customers with new Spectrum Internet packages in these markets during the first quarter of 2021, according to WKBW. So you don't have to do anything to begin noticing faster internet right away.
“Fast, reliable connectivity is more important than ever and we are delivering Spectrum Internet customers in these communities even more speed for streaming, remote work, distance learning and staying in touch with family and friends — with no modem fees, data caps or contracts.” - Carl Leuschner, Senior Vice President, Internet & Voice Products at Charter Communications, Inc., which offers services under the Spectrum brand
Some customers will need a newer modem, but no worries, they will provide it to you at no extra charge so you can start experiencing the faster speeds.
There's no question that most people have been on their computers a lot more these days. From working from home to keeping in touch with family and friends, there's not much we've leaned on more than our internet connections.
