The big weekend is here in Buffalo, New York! For some, it will be a three day party as St. Patrick's Day falls on a Friday this year. Get your green outfits ready and get ready to have some fun!

Buffalo is home to one of the largest Irish communities in the nation and certainly the best parade's in the state. Not only do we have one in the heart of South Buffalo on Saturday, thousands will turn out to see the parade on Delaware Avenue this Sunday!

Going to the parade this Sunday? DRESS WARM! There are forecasts calling for lake effect snow to wind down early Sunday and the cold will stick around most of the day.

We spoke with the Grand Marshall for the St. Patrick's parade on Delaware Avenue this Sunday. Jim Wannemacher tells us that there are some things that you should know for this weekend.

  1. Have a plan for parking. It is limited around the parade route.
  2. If you have a family or large group you may want to stay north or south of the Chippewa/Delaware intersection. It gets very congested.
  3. There won't be candy or treats thrown. This is a safety issue and will keep kids from running in and out of the road.

WYRK is once again part of the both parades. This Sunday, look for us set up outside of Bocce Pizza at the corner of Delaware and Chippewa. Stay safe and have fun!
