
Who is Demolishing the Buffalo Bills Stadium in March?
The last piece of the puzzle was and is to find a company to help demolish and fill in the hole that the old Hallmark Stadium will make. The Buffalo Bills have previously announced that the old Buffalo Bills stadium will get knocked down in the spring, likely March of 2027.
The Buffalo News broke down a little bit of how demolition will go in 2027.
What is going to go in place of the old Buffalo Bills Stadium?
The Bills and their general contractor Gilbane Turner expected to be able to close the final gap in workforce goals to include underserved businesses in the new stadium project when they hired contractors for the demolition of their current.
They put the demolition of the current stadium out for bid last year – the final piece of the project. It includes decommissioning of the current stadium, demolition and abatement and disconnecting and removing existing utilities so the site can be filled to grade and likely turned into a parking lot. Arc Building Partners is the project lead.
The Buffalo Bills have hired Arc Building Partners, a company locally here in Western New York founded by the Ciminelli family.
Erie County and the Buffalo Bills have hired a third party to help sell some of the remaining memorabilia and items that are inside the stadium. They have an "everything must go" kind of mentality. The seats have yet to sell out despite them saying that it has been close to a sellout you can still buy a pair of seats for about $550. In addition they have released other items including things like turf memorabilia and goalpost memorabilia although the goal post memorabilio is extremely popular and is now sold out.
Whatever happened with the two people that graffitied the Buffalo Bills stadium?
According to Erie County Executive, Mark Poloncarz, he hinted that they were going to be kicked out of the Union. Although there was no word on whether or not the individuals were confirmed to do so or get arrested.
