Restaurant Strong Hearts Buffalo Set To Open New Location

Buffalo will be getting a new restaurant very soon. The vegan comfort food restaurant Strong Hearts Buffalo announced on its website that it is headed to the city, after making its mark in Syracuse. The opening date is set for the summer of 2022. Strong Hearts Buffalo said on its Facebook page that is ready to dive headfirst into Buffalo,

After operating Strong Hearts for the last 14 years and successfully relaunching our brand, menu, and new space on Irving Avenue in 2020, we feel we finally have the operational experience required to successfully run two fully vegan restaurants 150 miles apart. We have a lot to learn about Buffalo, but we are incredibly excited to launch our first restaurant outside of Syracuse there.

It will be located on the westside at 295 Niagara Street where Ru's Pierogi was.

Judging from the menu, this is what we need in Buffalo, more vegan options. The great thing is they offer some comfort food staples like:

Mac N' Cheese ($8)- They use their own house-made cashew cheese sauce and dress the pasta up with chives and paprika. They also have a gluten-free option.

Nachos ($8 half or $13 full size) - Not only do Strong Hearts Buffalo's nachos use their own house-fried tortilla chips, but it also comes with vegan chorizo, black beans, guac, vegan sour cream, jalapeno peppers, roasted corn salsa, and pickled red onions.

Wild West Burger ($15) - It starts with a Beyond Meat burger, followed by some yummy toppings like tempeh bacon, BBQ sauce, and french-fried onions, all on a pretzel bun.

As of now, their hours will be Monday through Sunday from 10 am to 9 pm.

When we closed Strong Hearts on The Hill in 2021, we said we would focus our efforts into growing elsewhere. Well, say hello to elsewhere. We are proud to announce that Strong Hearts will expand into the Buffalo market this year. The new restaurant will be located at 295 Niagara Street, on the west side of Buffalo. The lease has been secured and renovations are underway. The new location will have a similar look, feel, and functionality as our restaurant in Syracuse and we are being aggressive with our timeline—the location is slated to open in early summer.
