28 Country Songs For Summer ’22 In Western New York

Is summer already here?! 

It’s going to be one of the best summers in Western New York. Finally, things are opening up and getting back to normal. Festivals and events are returning for the first time in years, and after years of not having it, one somewhat “normal” summer may just feel like the best one we’ve ever had.

One way to make sure that your summer is cruisin’ off to a good start is…having the best summer playlist. 

It seems like even people who solemnly swear that they “don’t like country music,” become a country music fan in the summer. It’s the best music to listen to while you Soak Up The Sun. (see what I did there?) 

Ironically, that song did not make the playlist, but take a look at the top 28 country songs for this summer in Western New York! 

It looks like Kenny Chesney is the King of Country this summer in Western New York! He had three songs that landed in the playlist, including the #1 country song of the summer, which is Summertime. A perfect tune to start off the summer vibes.

One song that did not make the list but deserves an honorable mention is Country Stuff by Walker Hayes. He performed the song with Jake Owen on his album “Country Stuff the Album,” and we were fortunate to hear it performed live at the 2022 WYRK Toyota Taste of Country. Jake Owen wasn’t with him for that performance, but it’s definitely a catchy tune!
