SWAT Team Called To This Western New York Town
It was a busy start to the weekend for law enforcement in at least one town in New York State. A situation involving the SWAT Team is still being investigated.
Ask any police, or law enforcement official, and they will most likely tell you that any domestic situation can be the most difficult, and potentially dangerous, to be called to. Things can go wrong in a hurry. However, these are the exact things that police, sheriffs and SWAT teams prepare for, and are ready to handle, when asked.
The SWAT Team was called to assist with a domestic situation on Friday night in the Town of Hamburg in Western New York. According to reports, there was an armed person involved.
A post on "X" from The Buffalo News said that:
An armed man holding a woman inside a Hamburg apartment was taken into custody without incident Friday night, according to police. The woman was brought to safety by members of the Town of Hamburg SWAT team.
Hamburg Police posted:
Upon arrival, a female resident from the apartment was brought to safety and our SWAT team and negotiators were alerted and responded. The male was taken into custody without incident by members of the Town of Hamburg SWAT team.
If you or someone you know is or has been a victim of domestic violence, there is help and there are resources to help.
Getting help from someone who has experience working within different systems can make things easier for you. An advocate is there to help empower and discuss options, not make decisions for you. You are the expert in your own life and the only one who knows what is right and safe for you.
