Black Friday is drawing near, which means you should really go shopping before the mayhem begins to load up on armor, cleats and fierce determination that will serve you well while you're scouring the shelves for the perfect toy at rock-bottom prices like a hunter searching for fresh food in a post-apocalyptic world where chaos reigns supreme.

Wondering when all those big stores will be opening and offering those massive discounts this Black Friday?

How can you skip the great deals around Thanksgiving?  It used to be Black Friday that people would camp out for.  Now, they're getting earlier and earlier with the sales.  This year, many stores will open on Thanksgiving day, and at least two ladies refuse to miss those great deals.

As we gear up for Black Friday shopping (or Thanksgiving shopping at the Walden Galleria in Buffalo, NY) you need to know every "trick" in the retail industry to get the best deal. Especially guys, who probably don't have shopping high on their priority list, here are some 'secrets' that Target has shared with us that you may want to look out for this holiday season...

Stores opening their doors on Thanksgiving Day to usher in the holiday shopping season is almost as much a part of turkey day as football and a tryptophan-induced nap, but that may change.

Brace yourselves: Black Friday is coming.

Black Friday can be crazy, which may be why some folks are going to extremes to make sure they don't miss out on the deals.

Black Friday is the busiest shopping day of the year. Not everyone went to Target or Best Buy for games, coffee makers and televisions. It seems there was a big demand for another type of gift this year. The FBI reports that gun sales were up 20% this past Friday.

Today's the big day -- the shopping extravaganza known as Black Friday, the day on which stores around the nation offer door-busting prices so low that otherwise-rational consumers take temporary leave of their senses, shake off their tryptophan haze and rush to the nearest mall at ungodly hours of the night. Or maybe not.

I think they whole idea of opening stores the day of thanksgiving in order to give retailers a jump on Black Friday is quite ridiculous. But, it is what it is. Though a few states have banned retailers from opening up at all on the day of Thanksgiving.
