The Buffalo Sabres finally won a game in overtime but a lot of their fans never got to see it.  Trailing 3-2 late in the game many fans gave up on the Sabres, but the Sabres did something they haven't done in a long time.  With time running out they pulled the goaltender for an extra skater and scored to tie the game, then in overtime defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen scored his first goal of the seas

In the first ever meeting between Connor McDavid and Jack Eichel, last year's top two NHL draft picks, McDavid clearly was the better player.  McDavid scored both goals for the Edmonton Oilers in a 2-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres in overtime on Tuesday night.

The Buffalo Sabres began a 3-game western Canada road trip with a 4-2 loss against the Edmonton Oilers Sunday night.  It was the first time in five games that the Sabres failed to score four goals or more in game.
