The annual St. Patrick's Day parades took place over the weekend and Buffalo police report that there were very few incidents.  Although there were about 10 arrests, with over 80,000 people in attendance, that's pretty good.  Here's one of them.

Meet Grandma Boop.  She has been wanting to be in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade for over 30 years now.  Her family pulled some strings this year for her 83rd birthday and made it happen.  So if you see a grandma dressed like a clown while you're watching with your family, it might just be Grandma Boop!

Buffalo always has two St. Patrick’s Day parades – the one in the old First Ward on the Saturday closest to St. Patrick’s Day and then the one down Delaware Avenue the following day. This country’s oldest and largest St. Patrick’s Day parade is in New York City.

Since the 4th of July this year is on a Wednesday you probably should start celebrating now and make it last all the way till next weekend!  Don’t worry about planning activities because there is a lot happening around town that you are not going to want to miss!  Here are just a few that I would definitely check out!

Memorial Day is this country’s annual salute to the men and woman of the armed forces who gave their lives in service of their country. There are dozens of services and ceremonies planned locally. But we were talking earlier this week about Memorial Day parades in this area and I was able to find a list of some of the more notable ones.
