
RECALL ALERT: Target Recalls Baby Wipes Sold Across New York
If you are a parent or grandparent, you are going to want to double-check the type of baby wipes you are using on your child. Target has issued a massive recall of their store brand wipes due to potential contamination with harmful bacteria.
Target Issues Baby Wipe Recall
Target issued a massive recall of certain baby wipes sold at stores across the country due to an issue where some of the wipes could have been contaminated with Burkholderia cepacia complex and Burkholderia gladioli, which could be deadly for infants.
Burkholderia cepacia complex is a group of bacteria that can cause infections and could lead to death in infants whose bodies are not fully immune and do not have the ability to fully fight against the bacteria.
Here are the baby wipes that are being recalled.
- Up & Up Fragrance Free: Sold in 20, 72, 216, 800, and 1,200 count packages.
- Manufacturing Dates: November 7, 2025, through May 5, 2026.
- Expiration Dates: May 10, 2028, through November 5, 2028.
- Up & Up Fresh Cucumber Scented: Sold in 72, 216, and 800 count packages.
- Manufacturing Dates: December 29, 2025, through December 30, 2025.
- Expiration Dates: June 29, 2028, through June 30, 2028
What To Do If You Have This Recall Product?
Officials with Target and the FDA are warning consumers to immediately stop using the wipes. You should return them to any Target store for a full refund. Consumers can contact Target Guest Relations at 1-800-440-0680 from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. CST daily for more information/
