Taste of Country Riser Competition: Round 2 Results
WYRK is looking for the future of country music right here in Western New York! The search is on for the next Toyota Taste of Country Riser--the next generation of country music talent.
On Saturday, we had our second pair of contestants face off at Say Cheese in front of a packed house! Two awesome bands each performed an original song in addition to some other music, and our judges decided who would advance. It was a battle of the remedies, as Beautiful Remedy duked it out with Uncle Ben's Remedy...
Congratulations to UNCLE BEN'S REMEDY, the winner of the second round of the TOC Riser competition!
This week, Uncle Ben's Remedy will take on our Round 1 winner Kate Mallen to see who is Buffalo's TOC Riser this Saturday, December 9th at 8:30PM at Buffalo RiverWorks, where West of the Mark and Eric Van Houten will also perform!
The winner will receive the opportunity to perform at WYRK Toyota Taste of Country, Jam in the Valley, the WYRK Fall Acoustic Show, a feature article on TasteofCountry.com and will be featured on Taste of Country Nights with Sam Alex, the nationally-syndicated radio show broadcast from the heart of Nashville across the United States! Most importantly they will receive the support of the station as they pursue their musical career!
