If you are looking for a new job or a change in your current job, the Buffalo Public Library along with the Erie County Library system is be hosting a virtual job fair.

The libraries have partnered up with Grow With Google to offer the free online event today and tomorrow from 10 am until 2:30 pm each day.

According to Buffaloplace.com participants will have a chance to see over 30 different employers while also having access to job search and resume writing tips.

Highlights of the program include links to job opportunities from 30 local/national employers and a free USB flash drive loaded with supplemental information, Google Docs templates, details about Library resources, and a Buffalo & Erie County Public Library e-Library card that provides access to all online Library resources.  The Virtual Job Fair is free and open to the public.

Job seekers are also invited to attend Facebook live seminars each day on the Buffalo Public Libary's Facebook page.

Thursday, January 14th:
10 am: Power Your Job Search with Google
12noon: Microsoft Word – Templates to Create a Resume
2 pm: Tap into Networking to Find Your Next Job

Friday, January 15th: Live Zoom workshop
12noon – 1 pm: Create a Resume with Google Docs

All the content and the event is free to the public.

According to the New York State Department of Labor, the Buffalo area has an unemployment rate of 5.9% in November of 2020 which was up from 4.2$ in November of 2019.
