A couple of weeks ago, the Buffalo Zoo announced that there were two new lion cubs born.  Unfortunately, we haven't been able to see much of them yet....until now.

The two new cubs were born on March 7th to mother Lusaka and father Tiberius. And to make it even cooler, they now share a birthday with their father (Tiberius) who just turned 8.

One month later, we finally get to see a picture of one:

If you don't picture little Simba from The Lion King trying to belt out a hearty roar there only to squeak out a little screech instead, I don't know what you've been watching for the last 25 years.

As it always is with newborns at the zoo, they won't be available to be viewed by the public right away.  They are giving them a little time to acclimate to their new environment and to continue to safely nurse from their mother.

We really still don't know much about them.  They didn't announce the genders of the cubs yet or if they have names.  What we do know is that they are healthy and still growing.  We hope to be able to see them soon!

Remember if you're planning to visit the zoo any time soon, you still have to pre-register before you go.  This applies to both members of the zoo and guests.  Right now, they are sold out for the remainder of today and all of tomorrow.  But there are tickets available for Friday and the weekend here: https://bit.ly/3rYHFnY
