The J.J. Watt Watch Is Officially Over

For the past two weeks, Bills fans have been on the edge of their seats, hoping that three-time Defensive Player of the Year in the NFL, J.J. Watt, would sign with Buffalo and be one of the final pieces to a championship run.

Unfortunately, that will not happen, as J.J. Watt has officially signed with a new team...but it's not the Bills.

According to Watt, he will suit up for the Arizona Cardinals next season.

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports it's a 2-year contract worth $31 million, with $23 million guaranteed.

The contract is pretty high, especially considering the Bills cap situation, which isn't that great, as they head towards free agency and the NFL Draft.

I would've loved to see Watt sign with Buffalo but he's about to turn 32 and has only played two full seasons in the last five.

Some of the other teams thought to be involved were the Green Bay Packers, Cleveland Browns, Tennessee Titans, and the Bills, who definitely need pass-rushing help this offseason.

The Bills will now have to solve their pass-rushing woes in free agency or the draft. Watt was allowed to sign early because he was released out of his contract by the Houston Texans, instead of his contract simply running out.
