The McRib is returning to McDonald's. The restaurant chain says the sandwich will return Dec. 2, and will be available nationwide for the first time since 2012, according to WGRZ.

“The McRib has been a beloved menu item at McDonald’s since its inception nearly 40 years ago,” said Vice President of Menu Innovation Linda VanGosen. “…We’re proud to serve the McRib nationwide for everyone to enjoy.”

Last year, Western New York McDonald's restaurants were part of the 10,000 U.S. stores to carry the limited-release of the McRib.

This time, it will be available at all U.S. restaurants.

The McRib first appeared on menus in 1982, and is sold year-round in Germany.
