According to total solar eclipse models from 2024, the next eclipse will occur on April 8th, 2024. The model below shows that witnessing the "totality" of the solar eclipse will run smack dab through Buffalo.

To put in perspective of just how rare it is to have a clear, total view of a solar eclipse -- according to Accuweather Astronomy, the average wait time for a clear path of a total eclipse is 375 years...that means most people who want to see a clear view of a total eclipse will have to travel to see it in their lifetime.

Other cities such as Cleveland, Indianapolis and Dallas will also have the best chances to see it when 2024 comes around.
