The Peanuts Have Officially Been Pulled From Primetime Network TV
We need to start protecting traditions!
This morning during Clay and Company, we were talking about how traditions are starting to die and, especially with the year we are having, we hope they are not gone completely. Some towns and villages around Western New York have made some serious modifications to trick or treating because of COVID-19 and that includes Beggar's Night. Beggar's Night in a lot of Buffalo area have already become extinct.
On TOP of that Halloween news--it was announced that Charlie Brown and company will be not aired on ABC this year. There was a deal struck where Apple has the rights to the Peanuts. So, if you want to continue your tradition of watching "It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" is now streaming exclusively on Apple TV+. You can watch it for free from October 30 to November 1.
This includes the Peanuts Christmas special as well. Peanuts was created by Charles M. Schulz and ran from October 2, 1950, to February 13, 2000. Therefore, you can expect how people were going to react to the news and to Apple TV. As you can see from the tweets below, social media was less than thrilled with the announcement this morning:
