It's gotta be done but it's gotta be the single most annoying thing we do. Shopping for groceries is my least favorite thing to do and after going to the store today to get the essentials, I decided to write out my frustrations.I never can find a good parking spot. To be honest, i would rather hire someone to shop for me than have to deal with the busy Tops parking lot in East Aurora. It seems no matter what time of day or what day you go, it's always busy. Once you find a spot, you have to get a cart and hopefully you have remembered your list and have a full stomach.Otherwise, it's Dorritos, beer and meat that you will have in your cart before you know it.

Once you get going you have to get the food off the shelf, into the cart. Motor around people that never seem to want to move or understand that if you move to one side while your kids are picking out cereals, we can all get through  the store smoothly. After you get everything you can find (I never know where anything is) you can either stand in line and wait for a cashier or wait for the self checkout line in which eventually you may need a cashier anyways because you can't get something to scan. You then have to take the items out of the cart and bag them up. Then it's back into the cart with the goodies and wait for a ream of paper known as the receipt which is generally loaded with coupons for things I never need. Truth be told, I don't use coupons anyways.

Once you have moved from the store and dodge the cars backing in and out of a the lot, you remove the items yet again from the cart and load them into a steaming hot car/stand in the pouring rain while you load them up. Then it's off to home when halfway home, you realize you forgot the ONE thing that you wanted to get in the first place! After getting home, you have to put the items that fell out of the bags back into the bags and take them into the house. In the house you have to yet again remove the items from the bags and place them into the appropriate spot. By this time the milk has sprung a leak or the eggs have cracked.

After everything is put away, you have to yet again remove them from the cupboards and prepare them for lunch/dinner.It's a crazy process that in a few days, has to be done again!  See, doesn't eating a restaurant seem like a simpler less stressful plan?
