The idea behind sucking fish up a tube to relocate them to another part of a creek or river seems a little absurd.  But there's a company that has developed technology just for that.

It's called Whooshh Innovations and they're trying to make relocation of fish safer.  As you may know, some fish like salmon and trout swim upstream against currents, over rapids and past hungry bears to spawn in the same area where they were born.  However, now some man-made barriers are preventing them from making that trip.  So humans have taken it upon themselves to transport some of these fish up the river by truck, or barge, or even helicopter.

Todd Deligan, Whooshh's vice president says, "We have to take it at its face value.  Try it, put a fish in, watch it go, laugh. But then really contemplate where this could go."
