You might have heard me over the last few weeks on WYRK speaking about my niece Stacey and her scheduled Lasik procedure.  Well last night at the Fichte Endle & Elmer Eyecare open house she was the patient who was seen on their close circuit TV having the Lasik eye surgery.  She was a bit nervous going in and so was her mom (my sister Lisa) but they both faired very well.  Stacey even answered questions after her procedure and was able to see a much further distance immediately.  I guess I didn’t realize how poor her eyesight was until last night.  I am so happy for her and really appreciate the Dr’s and the staff at Fichte Endle and Elmer Eye Care.  Kevin O'Brien Marketing Director/Surgical Assistant, and our surgery commentator was terrific and really gave us a guided tour during Stacey’s procedure on closed circuit TV.  He was also a great comfort for Stacey before and after the procedure.  Dr. Fichte, Dr. Endle (who performed the procedure) and Dr. Elmer were all on hand to answer questions from all the open house attendees (it was a full house).   The open house is a great way for people to get information on Lasik surgery to see if they are a good candidate for the procedure.  I saw numerous people throughout the night make appointments for a complete eye exam.  I really do trust the Dr’s and staff of Fichte Endle & Elmer Eyecare , they treated me and my niece like family.  I’m glad to be a part of their family and look forward to hosting many more of their very informative open house events.
