WATCH: Thieves In Buffalo, New York Steal Purse At Gunpoint

There has been a terrifying string of car thefts in Western New York and now things are getting even more dangerous. Teens who stole a car in Buffalo stopped and robbed a woman at gunpoint.

The video is getting lots of attention and, thankfully, the thieves were caught and the property returned without anyone getting seriously hurt.

This is the video from the porch camera that caught the robbery as it took place.

It's not just Kias that are being stolen. In fact, just last week, there was a new Chevrolet stolen from a parking lot at daybreak in Downtown Buffalo.

While the car was recovered, it is a chilling sign that things are only getting worse and, based on these recent events, thieves are getting more brave.

Make sure that you are aware of your surroundings and keep any valuables out of the car or out of sight. If you are considering buying or leasing a car, I would suggest that you look in to a car with Onstar or some sort of tracking app. The stolen Chevy was recovered, in fair condition, a mile from where it was taken.
